With regard to the overall presence in society of the Hospitality and Facility industry “People, Planet, Profit” are defined as challenging perspectives.

Job profile Manager Learning Company

The learning company consists of several outlets: restaurant, kitchen, banqueting, coffee corner and front office. You will be responsible for all these departments of the learning company Sibelicious, manage all daily operations and instruct and coach staff (approximately 8 staff members) and students. You are responsible for the administrative organization, further professionalization and quality of the company set the guidelines and ensure that students can develop themselves according to the learning goals. You are responsible for obtaining a structural improvement of the commercial and financial objectives. You will assign and coordinate duties and action of staff and steer them in the daily operations, assist your colleagues wherever possible and take over operational tasks when there are no students available. You will initiate and chair department related meetings.

You will cooperate with the educational staff in order to create a learning environment for our students and guiding and coaching students during their international placements might be part of the job.

Giving lectures on food and beverage related topics will occasionally occur.

Candidate profile Manager Learning Company

You are a host(ess) in heart and soul and you are able to relay this passion to the staff members and students. You have a broad network in the world of hospitality at European level and you possess the general theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of the hotel industry. You have gained that knowledge through education, preferably HBO Hotel management and several years of relevant experience in the hospitality branch. You have an excellent command of written and spoken English and you are familiar with English professional terminology in the field of hospitality and food and beverage and Front Office in particular. You would benefit from knowledge and experience you have of front office operations and operational management information systems (such as Micros, Fidelio and Materials Control). You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and organisational skills and you are available to work evenings. Preference will be given to candidates who have international working experience and affinity with working in an international / intercultural setting. You have proven experience in steering a team and are a strong leader with well-developed social skills.

Salary & Benefits Manager Learning Company

NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences offers organisation and facilities for costs of relocation and settling-in in the Netherlands. Dutch Tax authorities may offer tax reduction to applicants from abroad. The salary for this position will be at level 10 of the CAO-HBO (Collective Labour Agreement), earning a monthly minimum of € 2.470,92 gross and a maximum of € 3.740,63 gross (full-time). You will get a fixed annual benefit of 8.3%. Apart from this, NHTV University of Applied Sciences offers you an 8% holiday allowance, a compensation for your Health Insurance and several compensations for sports activities.
